This is a home for various writings and resources concerned with what might be broadly described as data analysis with Python. I’ve been using and teaching Python for data analysis in the field of biological science for many years. On this site I’m going to take what I know and try to make it accessible for a general audience.

I’ll be concentrating mostly on the scientific Python stack:

  • Pandas for reading and manipulating tabular data

  • Seaborn for visualization

  • numpy/scipy for numerical processing

  • scikit-learn for machine learning
